Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Coming back after a journey

As time goes by, spring opens her beautiful rainbow of endless varieties of colors, a young future king has been sent out and will become a stronger public personality. The small garden serves us well and yet I see how difficult it is to have enough vegetables for even one family. The fresh parsley and the chives made the difference last weekend while serving small white buns of bread with smoked salmon and a tea spoon of crème fraiche.
I bought three different mint bouquets. All leaves differ,  shape wise. The smell varies from mint and lemon like or close to thyme.
The old Moroccan man helped me picking the fruit last Saturday. Gave me more explanation and indications. Insides of region mysteries. Talked about different parts of his country, special dishes to prepare.

I long to the family house in France, but need to wait until later this summer. We are already discussing about the recipes we will prepare. With the ingredients from the 'terroir', L'Ardèche.
A daily image, almost sunset, walk through the vineyards. After a long afternoon at the riverside, buying our tomatoes and lettuce at the farm owned by Aimé Mouraret. Figs, grapes, lavender and raspberry's from our own domain. Girls running on the lane. Dogs barking, the hunt will soon start. Life at the country side. Every summer, we come back after another journey, to this same land. Each voyage brings us back here in the end. My girls play and walk along the same path, arrive at the cool water and the eroded rocks, just like I did at their age. And the land didn't change. The farmer families are still there. Seem they live all so long.

Light and sunny
