Thinking about. Adolescents and their siblings.
To get them up in the morning, feed them before going to school and get them back home in an exhausted state later in the day. In the meantime, between stepping out of bed and arriving in the kitchen, for my cup of coffee, I have some thoughts about a lunch, school-lunch for the girls.
I ask them. They will come up most of the time with a few ideas.
Requested are mainly salads, pastas, fruit and home made cakes. Those last ones were done yesterday. Small cupcakes, different flavours. It is nice to see the girls having fun in the kitchen. Searching recipes, flipping through cook books and running up and down for ingredients.
The house becomes an atelier. The mastering of Art, cooking, music and sports. Disciplines to explore, to master, to get a better sense of yourself. It is my strong recommendation to you all parents to get your teens involved in any of these fields.
Enjoying my coffee in the garden while the panini are getting toasted.
Take away lunch idea for three girls!
Take one multi cereal bread (250 gr). Cut in three horizontal layers.
Tomatoes, 2 pieces. In slices.
Mozzarella, one large or three small ones, in slices.
Fresh herb like thyme and basel.
Take a slice of bread, put slices of tomato and mozzarella on it, cover it with another piece of bread, repeat the same thing as what you did for the other piece of bread. Cover this with a last piece of bread. Your panini should now have 3 pieces of bread and two layers of tomato/mozzarella. The panini is ready when cheese has melt.
