https://www.theguardian.com/society/2022/dec/05/coroner-uk-anaphylaxis-register-pret-a-manger-allergy-deaths A death caused by food allergies is beyond comprehension. No allergy is the same. Each allergy reaction is different. Allergies appear and disappear. Serious allergies for food can be life threatening and stay. As parents from allergic children we know. I feel desperate and deeply saddened when I read and reread the deaths of these young people dying of an anaphylactic shock. So much to do to avoid these accidents happen. Avoidance is and what we experience day after day while dealing and living with allergies. But we should do better as a society and the move to bring in more awareness over and over whether through food labeling, training of those working in the food industry, and reporting these cases in hospitals is an ultimate must and that’s happening soon in the UK.
Ignorance is killing and knowledge is the absolute cornerstone.
