Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Black chocolate cake!

Melting pot: the kitchen.
The chocolate. The eggs.
The fun and the taste.
The plan and the preparations.
Good food, pure black chocolate.
The kitchen: the ultimate place for experiment and the freedom of taste.
The love for food and the pleasure to prepare for the guests to come.
Solange is there, Nuria and Belle.
All eager to get started.
To sift the flour. To separate the eggs. To measure the chunks of chocolate.
This is fun. I just love it to see them together and doing this for me and for themselves. For our friends to come later tonight. The quantity of chocolate is so much..... " Is this OK Mom?" "Think so."
The result is just spectacular. The ingredients all mixed in the biggest bowl in the house. The color changes slowly with the turning of the spoon. The yellows, the black Lindt 85% chocolate and the white snow all added together. The composition fits wonderfully in the bowl. The mixture doesn't go over the edge. Don't spill it girls. This is so rich. The texture is puffed and airy. Like the old fashion bubbled chocolate bars I ate long ago as a kid.
The flow of energy of this allergy girl is amazing. She is a again the chief in the kitchen. Her mind absorbes the putting together of the ingredients and her eyes filter the cooking scenes. With her deep blue eyes she follows at the same time the recipe I prepare for an apple cake and Zineb's (the bonne), recipe for a brioche bread.
It is all about the flavors and the taste of all the food she can have. No doubt she is enjoying this. And I do too.
