Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Don't make a thing!

Pasta. Yes we can find now bio pasta in the supermarket.
So I am trying a pasta meal which we can have for dinner and the girls again tomorrow as school packed lunch. It is an ever returning issue. I cook, need to do so, love it and still, there are those days, of course I can't blame Solange neither her sisters, need to feed them decently, can't let Solange down with her specific diet. But she is OK with my temporarily mood, the refusal one, she survives with or without food, a day....
What do we give  them for lunch? Do you have some ideas? Where do we find some nice snacks? There is just nothing. Routines. Conversations between moms. In Rabat the daily situation is exactly as it is any where else: the kids go off to school, stay at school and need a lunch.
I wrote it several times already, the food variety here in Rabat is simple and dull.
What I can't believe it? OK fruits are superb, vegetables likewise, but you know. Convenient shopping................. sometime you just feel like going into a supermarket with your small list or even without and looking for some good stuff. 'Tasty appetite, snacks, gourmandise, sweet, savory, something special please'.
And this is not what you get here.
Adaptation to a minimalistic shopping attitude that most of the women I know here, aren't so acquainted with. But we adapt too. For sure, and we go on and we still complain. And that's probably just what it is. Because life is easy here. And then sometime you just don't feel like making them a lunch. You quit. You strike. Apron, pots and pans not touched. Today I don't make a thing! ' ...girls there's fruit, did you have your 5 pieces of fruit?' 'gggr ... Mammy, no'.
