Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Notes

Magnificent theatre. Fairy tale. A princess, a cook, and a king. Christmas evening and we are in the middle of a winter scenery. The streets all white, people in warm coats drinking warm wine. The girls are freezing cold, while we all enjoy the beauty of the season in this eclectique city. All historical periods seem to mix and represent this city with all her memories since the rich Habsburger period, through communistic reign into modern times. Too short our stay, but we leave with satisfied minds. The colors of the architecture are amazing and while I softly close my eyes, impressions and stories told by my sister take me back into the Middle ages. Cold winter days aren't bringing any treat for my allergy girl. She suffers with her skin and her eyes, she hardly complains but she feels frustrated while weather changes all the time, all year round. I feel her pain.
The movie about the life of Amadeus Mozart was partly filmed in this city. We enjoy watching the portrait of this composer. Later at night we share a meal under the roof of a beautiful Art Deco restaurant. The pleasure of a shared meal in a romantic city. The own bakery is in the center of the restaurant, so we can see where the food comes from. Aperitif with fresh home made baked bread, olive oil and salt. It feels like home.
