Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Purple tree

A fig to me is eclectic in it’s appearance, delicious in her simplicity. It’s all there right after you pick her from the tree. Figs trees are in all those places in the Mediterranean hemisphere and affordable as they are such part of the diet. Tree of life, tree of purple.

Perfect accessoire at my table for aperitifs and in a salad. Combined with thyme and in my pre-vegan life with excellent goat cheese it becomes heaven and even so without the marvel of its flesh is so exquisite and the roughy alone that this is Mother Nature who provides this blossom is beyond imagination.

One daughter steels them in between her wandering in the house from and to the kitchen table, she’s in love with this particular ancient fruit. She grew up and the purple sweet fruit was there. My mother has days where she only feeds herself with figs because the abundance at her trees is simply so that she can’t do otherwise. They are so good in jams, cake, pie and salads.
