Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Positive protection

Need to be there and stay ever alert. The kitchen, the maid and the stuff that goes into the pan. Solange is back on medication and needs to take another treatment for a while. Her skin had this weird eczema in Cairo, which took her at least ten days to recover.  And since 48 hours after eating a home made lasagne, she suffers again from irritations around her eyes, swollen lids and all over her face she has a thin layer of mini tiny grains. The concentrated stuffed tomatoes which were used in the dish, happened to be from another brand than we normally use et voila! I don't know what's the matter with most processed food, but I'll stay away from these small dark red cans. The story is that the maid went out, after I told her that there wasn't any in the house, she bought the missing tomatoes and added it to the recipe. Is she confusing the seriousness of the allergies and the importance of her personal touch...
I don't know but we can't take the risk. She's a wonderful Moroccan woman and a source of new flavors and traditions and we need to be the chefs in our domain!

Solange and myself talked about the variety of reactions one's body develops after eating wrong (toxic) food.  An amazing protection in the immune system and so positive! And yet it is annoying to find yourself back with an ever sensitive skin.
Growing up, teenager, your face a mirror!
