Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Sense or common sense

Family story: A grandfather who can't paint with oil paint, a grand mother who is allergic for wasps, a cousin who can't have night shade vegetables, an aunt who is dramatically ashmatic, a dad with excema, two sisters without any specific allergy, a cousin who develops reactions after eating pine nuts...  these are all our family.

Articles about:  whether you should or shouldn't eat peanuts while being pregnant;
Are we making our kids sick by being to protective and cleaning to much, being over hygienic.
Sometimes, just a few times every now and then I get completely exhausted by all the news, the research, ... the better if.. or just the ...never dare... or don't you exaggerate... or we're all allergic...

I know I never had as many peanuts as while we lived in Beijing, China. The time before and the months during my first pregnancy. The peanuts were served almost everywhere, kind of the basic snack if you like. And there were M&M's, I ate those sweet and colored peanuts while hanging out together with my friend Catharine on our long drives for adventure and discovery in the city of the Forbidden City. I loved rise crackers with peanut butter and fresh cucumber and tomatoes.

After Solange was born I walked  a lot with her in the area where we lived and it was all very polluted. The general standard of living was, back 1995, still very modest. My fingernails were definitely black from charcoal when coming home in the evening. What I try to say here,  is that in my case, which is unique like all others cases, the peanuts and the delicate environmental challenges weren't neither very beneficial.
I mean, Solange is at the end of the day deadly allergic for peanuts.
What is sense and what is common sense.
Life is a long journey, allergies still difficult to treat, better to adventure taste, to live colorful and to be safe.
Family life.

Health is so precious therefore Love the day!
